First week back in Guam

Here is a photo essay of our return to Guam

From our first week back.

Wednesday Morning: Antennas 1, 2A and 2B. Antenna 1 on the right, stretched between the tower pair 1&2 and tower pair 3&4. Antennas 2A and 2B (back-to-back), stretched between Tower 3&4 and tower pair 5&6 out of picture to the right. With the morning sun behind, you can see the antenna elements.
Thursday. Inside the control box out at the slew switch, this dual contactor’s connections are undocumented. The two blue capacitors a the right are disconnected, and wire colors are not recorded correctly. The job is to make this make sense in schematic form for the KTWR engineers. Began tracing connections — all day.
Thursday and Friday. Traced wires and relay connections from inside the transmitter building out to the slew switch 1500 feet away. Wire colors change with each terminal block. But things are becoming clearer.
Saturday: Helped KTWR Night Operator Scott Refilong with flat tire, got Brunsons’ cars safety-checked, then helped repair Brunsons’ dining table … with Jack’s help.
Sunday: Bayview Church is on the hill overlooking Tamuning Bay. After church, we attended a baptism for three young people in the bay. Pastor Kevin in the black shirt.
